Here you can find some guidelines as to what competition level you should sign your team up for at the tournament. These are intended to help youth teams play at the right level.
*NOTE: the divisions and competition levels a team chooses is not guaranteed and may be combined at the tournament’s discretion when a specific division or level does not have enough teams. No division will be combined with a division more than 1 year older or younger. We promise to do our best!
10U, 11U, and 12U age divisions (each age division will select their preferred competition level)
OPEN level (top level) – These are players that play at a very high level relative to their age group. They practice and compete year round, often traveling out of the area to compete in higher level tournaments. Their teams usually win the local tournaments and do well when they travel to high level tournaments. A typical team would be a traveling club team.
Competitive – These players practice on a regular basis, usually 1-2 times per week all year, either on their own or with a team. They are on a team that plays most of their games locally and finish in the middle of the pack at most events, usually winning about half the games they play. A typical league would be a local AAU team.
Recreational – This is a team that is just wanting to have fun but doesn’t play basketball more than 15 times a year. The players are still learning the game, including the basic rules and skills. A typical league would be a local YMCA league.
13U and 14U age divisions (each age division will select their preferred competition level)

Players that are no longer in high school cannot play in this division.
Competitive – These players play on their high school’s JV team or are a top player on their high school’s sophomore team. This division is only available for 15-16 year olds or 17 year olds that have not finished their junior year in high school.
Recreational – These players play on their high school’s freshman or sophomore team. They love the game but mostly want to have a good time at this level. *NOTE: divisions will be combined at tournament’s discretion when a specific division does not have enough teams. No division will be combined with a division more than 1 year older or younger.

Competitive Level – The majority of our participants play in the standard divisions which include recreational and competitive. Each has This is the middle level for competition. Players don’t feel like they are at an elite level but still want a strong level of competition.
Recreational Level – This is a casual division where players are just wanting to have a good time.
